This is where the movement began. God led Erich here in a season where he was pursuing his own dream, and was eventually led into God’s dream. Beginning in 1998 with four couples and their children, Real Life Ministries has become one of the most influential churches in America and is a leader the Relational Discipleship movement.

VRLValley Real Life, Spokane Valley, WA

The first church plant of Real Life Ministries (and formerly known as Real Life Ministries Spokane Valley). Valley Real Life began meer weeks before Erich started attending the Post Falls campus and, although living in Spokane and Spokane Valley at the time, never became affiliated except through friendships and acquaintances.

RLNReal Life Newport, Newport, WA

Real Life Ministries’ first attempt at a “portable” video venue for which all equipment needed for a Sunday Service could be stored in the back of a box truck.  Erich helped with the technical auido/video aspect when the concept of a video venue was experimental. Now, Real Life Newport is a full-fledged church with its own small group structure.

Beginning from what was originally intended to be a thrift store and coffee bar, Real Life Silver Valley started becoming a video venue (like Newport) and is now, like Newport, a full-fledged church with its own small group structure.

Rising from the ashes of a dying church asking for help, Real Life Ministries Treasure Valley (Originally Boise) is now a growing and thriving church in the area.

RLOTPReal Life on the Palouse; Moscow & Grangeville, ID & Pullman, WA

One of the co-founders of Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Aaron Couch, got the call to plant a church in Moscow, ID. Little did he know what God actually had in mind! The church shortly moved its Sunday services from locations in and around Moscow to across the state line in Pullman, WA. Since then, it has started a simulcast video venue in Grangeville, ID and is about to start its third location in the Eastside Marketplace in Moscow. Erich was around for its second year, leading a small group and helping with audio/video production. To this day, Erich still frequently listens to their podcast of Sunday sermons.

RLMSReal Life Ministries Spokane, Spokane, WA

Originally intended to be Real Life Ministries North Spokane, the “North” was dropped early on as it was deemed to geographically limiting. Erich helped with the first few months of planting this church before being led back to Post Falls.

An extension of the Post Falls campus, Coeur d’Alene currently meets in a building as a video venue. Small groups in the city are under the Post Falls campus umbrella.

A ministry at RLM that Erich hopes to soon be a part of, the Real Life Ministries Church Training and Development team trains churches throughout the United States and around the world about their movement-making discipleship process as modelled by Jesus Himself. This ministry is closely affiliated with the Relational Discipleship Network.

Erich’s alma mater. Erich attended the Post Falls campus at Real Life Ministries, which is now defunct. Although his degree is no longer available, he still encourages people wishing to attend bible college to attend the Boise campus.
